Morning Blessings
Every morning when a Jew gets up he has he has to pronounce —
Mode Ani
— We get a new strength for the new day from G-d to make his will.
A father has to teach his child to say "Mode Ani" as soon as baby can speak.
"I gratefully thank You O living and eternal King, for You have returned my soul within me with compassion abundant is Your faithfulness!"
Mode ani lefanecha, melech chi vikayom, shehechetzarta bi nishmati, bechemela raba emunasecha.
Washing hands — Al netilat yadaim
As soon as person gets up he has to wash his hands.
- Fill up the cup with cold water
- Pass the cup from your right hand to your left hand
- Pour the water onto your right hand then pass the cup to your right hand
- Pour the water onto your left hand then pass the cup to your left hand
- Pour the water onto your right hand then pass the cup to your right hand
- Pour the water onto your left hand then pass the cup to your left hand
- Pour the water onto your right hand then pass the cup to your right hand
- Pour the water onto your left hand then pass the cup to your left hand
- Scrub your hands together and say the above prayer
- Dry your hands and your all done
2 Blessed are You, Lord our G-d, King of the universe, who has sanctified us with His commandments, and commanded us concerning the washing of the hands.
Baruch ata Adonoy Elohenu Melech haolam, asher kidishanu bamitzvatov vitzivanu al nitilat yadayim.
Shma Yisrael...
- A Jew has an obligation to say "Shema" every morning and evening.
- Shma promotes a main idea of Judaism - Lord is one so it is considered as a motto for Jewish people.
- Shma pray means that Lord is one and we love him.
- Shma appeals us to love Lord and keep his commandments.
- Shma is our motto to show our devotion to Lord.
- Shma is said every morning and evening.
- To concentrate on the meaning of the words we close our eyes with the right hand when we say the first line.
Hear O Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One
Shema Yisroel, Adonoy Elohenu, Adonoy Echad
(In a whisper): Blessed be the name of the glory of His kingdom forever and ever
(This should be said in a wisper): "Baruch shem kavod malchuso laolam vaed"
You shall love the Lord you God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might. And these words which I command you today shall be upon your heart. You shall teach them thoroughly to your children, and you shall speak of them when you sit in your house and walk on the road, when you lie down and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign upon your hand, and they shall be for a reminder between your eyes. And you shall write them upon the doorposts of your house and upon your gates.

It shall be, that if you obey My commandments that I command you this day to love the Lord your God and serve Him with all Your heart and with all your soul, then will I send the rain for your land in its season, the early [autumn] rain and the late [spring] rain, and you will gather in your grain, your wine, and your oil. And I will provide grass in your field for your cattle, and you shall eat and be sated. Be careful that your heart be not tempted and you turn away to serve other gods and bow to them. For then God will be furious with you and will block the heavens and there will be no rain and the land will not yield its produce, and you will perish quickly from the good land that God gives you. Take these My words to your hearts and to your souls, and bind them for a sign on your hands and for frontlets between your eyes. Teach them to your children: to speak them when you sit in your house and when you walk on the road, when you lie down and when you rise up. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. So that your days and the days of your children may be prolonged upon the land, which God swore to give to your forefathers, as the days of the heavens [are prolonged] upon the earth.

The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, "Speak to the children of Israel and tell them to make for themselves tzitzit ("fringes") on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, putting a thread of blue upon the corner tzitzit. They will be for you tzitzit, you will see them and be reminded of all the Lord's commandments, and do them, and not turn aside toward your hearts and your eyes and stray after them. So that you remember and do all My commandments and be holy to your God. I am the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your God; I am the Lord your God. Truth.
